The Rotoroll is an outdoor retractable hose reel made by Claber, Inc., a world-leader in lawn and garden watering equipment. It comes complete with the hose and can be purchased in either a 33’ or 66’ hose length. It is equipped with a durable spring driven internal winding mechanism that, with a quick tug on the hose, easily locks the hose in place. When you are done watering, another gentle tug causes the unit to gently rewind itself. A special hose running guide prevents tangles and keeps the hose coiled neatly inside the plastic casing. The rust-proof aluminum wall bracket swivels 180°, so you can pull the hose in any direction from where it is mounted. Don't be fooled by other lower cost hose reels on the market. Unlike some, the retraction system on the Rotoroll is not powered by water pressure. It is powered by the Claber SoftBlock system which is similar to that on an inertia reel seat belt found on automobiles: if the hose is dropped or rewinds too quickly, the device locks the mechanism instantly insuring personal and environmental safety. All self winding hose reels have a spring. The Rotoroll has a 26' (40' on the 66' hose model), 1" thick spring. This spring has a life expectancy of about 25,000 cycles, or 15 years. A quick-disconnect garden hose nozzle and a faucet supply line adapter is included. Installation is a snap. Simply use the template provided to drill four pilot holes (being careful not to locate the unit where hidden wires or plumbing may be), then use four screws to attach the unit to a wall, then insert the swivel pin, then set unit on top of the pin.
