Automatic Pet Feeder (Programmable Electronic Autopetfeeder by Ergo Systems) for dogs and cats.
Take the worry out of feeding your cat or dog the right amount of dry food. You just fill the reservoir with dry food, program your schedule for feeding, and the Autopetfeeder takes care of the rest. So whether you're working late or you're away for an extended period, you don't have to worry about putting out a lot of extra food your pet might eat at once (and get sick!)... or not having enough food available when your dog or cat is really hungry.
You can program the Autopetfeeder automatic pet feeder to feed up to eight times a day, so it's a good option for cats and diabetic dogs who need more, smaller meals. Just keep the food reservoir and your feeding schedule repeats week after week.
Comes in three sizes, with three different feeding rates (small size shown above). And now, with its improved timer, feeding times can be set to the second, making your feedings even more accurate. Note that the feeding rates shown below in one-minute increments are approximate and will vary somewhat with the size and shape of the food pellets. We recommend setting it to run for one minute. Then measure the amount of food dispensed and "calibrate" the feeder for the type of food you use, so you'll get the right amount each time.
Large automatic pet feeder (for dogs over 40 lbs.): holds up to 20 lbs. of dry food and feeds out at a rate of about 1/2 cup per minute. The recommended food size is 7/8" diameter.
Medium automatic pet feeder (for dogs 15-40 lbs.): holds 10 lbs. of dry food and feeds out at a rate of about 3/8 cup per minute. The recommended food size is 3/4" diameter.
Small automatic pet feeder (for cats and dogs under 15 lbs.): holds 5 lbs. of dry food and feeds out at a rate of about 1/8 cup per minute. The recommended food size is 3/8" diameter.
Three different sizes means there's an Autopetfeeder for any size dog or cat. Unlike other electronic pet feeders, the Ergo Autopetfeeder provides different reservoirs, based on size. And, before you buy another brand of feeder, see if it offers these features:
-
A high-torque motor to prevent jamming
-
A food agitator to keep food from getting stale (medium and large models)
-
A protective sheathing to keep your pet from chewing through the electrical cord
-
A safety interlock switch that disables the motor in the event the feeder is overturned
-
A large, detachable bowl for easy cleaning
-
A clear food storage container, so you can easily see how much food remains
-
Easy Daylight Savings Time adjustment
-
Feeding accuracy to the second
All models of the Autopetfeeder feature an 8-foot, non-chewable cord, a rotating plug for horizontal and vertical outlets, a built-in battery backup, and a manual override switch.
(There's also a special outdoor Autopetfeeder that can be used areas like barns or to feed ponds. If you need the ability to feed your pet canned, wet food, consider the 8-Day Automatic Pet Feeder, also from Ergo Systems. And don't forget to provide an automatic watering device. We've got them for indoor and outdoor pets.)
