Control Products Deluxe Freeze Alarm (FreezeAlarm FA-D2) is the reliable furnace temperature alarm that helps protect your home, greenhouse, wine cellar or seasonal property against potential disasters caused by power outages, furnace failure and loss of heat. With the addition of optional Water Alarm sensors, it can also alert you to water leaks before they turn into major floods and lead to dangerous mold. And you don't pay any expensive, monthly monitoring fees.

Just set a temperature range to monitor, all the way from minus(-)50 F. up to 302 degrees F. You can monitor both a low and high temperature setting. (Also allows you to monitor temperatures in Centigrade.) When an alert is triggered, your Freeze Alarm calls up to three phone numbers you choose. The alerted person on the other end of the line receives a voice message, describing the status of the power, temperature, backup battery supply and the Water Alarm sensor (if installed). If you own seasonal property or operate a greenhouse in cold weather, or are concerned about furnace failure at the home of an elderly parent, a device like the Deluxe Freeze Alarm is a must-have to protect your investment from furnace failure, freezing, mold and broken water pipes.

A great feature of this Deluxe Freeze Alarm model is that it gives you the power to control the temperature in your home from a remote location by switching control of your heating or air conditioning system from one thermostat to another using any touchtone phone. Or your can purchase dual thermostat designed for this purpose. The Sensaphone also does this, but at a much higher cost.

(Unless you have experience installing thermostats, we recommend contacting a qualified contractor for proper installation of a second thermostat. But if you're a handy do-it-yourselfer, installation should take about one hour.)

This new model also enables you to dial out to a pager, a feature previously available only on model FA-DX, which has now been discontinued.
